This week sees Safer Internet Day and all classes in school will be doing something on this theme, and for all our parents and carers we are arranging a workshop: ‘Create, Connect and Share Respect’ A Better Internet Starts with You. Wednesday 14th March 2018, 2.00pm – 3.00pm (Children can be taken home early)
Increasingly, there are more opportunities for children to get online – at home, at school and through their mobile phones and games consoles and whilst the internet can be of great benefit to your child, unfortunately, it can also pose risks. It is important to be aware of the dangers and to know how to keep your child safe online.
Cyber Safety is an area of concern for everyone. The term ‘Cyber Safety’ is well known, but what exactly is it? How do we, as a school, bring attention to it and what should you as a parent or carer be aware of? The session that we are arranging aims to provide advice needed to ensure the safety of their children online.
This presentation will be led by Tanya Cross, Health and Well Being Schools’ Advisor. If you are interested in this event, please download the letter below, complete the reply form and return it to the school as soon as possible, so that we can determine if there is sufficient interest in the event.
