Our School

Romiley Primary School is a two form entry School of approximately 420 pupils with a Nursery class that takes 20 pupils in the morning and 20 in the afternoon. Our aim is to ensure that Romiley Primary is a place where every child feels safe and happy and thus ready to learn and achieve.

We strive to set high standards of work and discipline in an environment that is positive, encouraging and respectful. We offer children a range of experiences both in the classroom and through extra-curricular activities. Through these we seek to develop the whole child – intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually.

Moral values are highly prized and promoted by all staff both in terms of their personal behaviour and in the attitudes and values they convey to children through daily interaction, assemblies, class teaching and the expectations they have of pupils and their attitudes to one another. The school has very high expectations of good behaviour and this is reflected in a well ordered community where pupils have a clear sense of right and wrong. Honesty, endeavour, achievement, respect and truth, are just some of the values that the school constantly strives to promote.

We recognise that partnership between School and home, between teachers and parents is essential if your children are to be given the best opportunities to which they are entitled.

All of our children are required to wear school uniform and details of that are on our School Uniform List.

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.
